Journalist/reporter + assistant editor

Remote reporter/ journalist covering daily news topics in one business niche for a website and magazine.

Job Description:
- Turn around and write multiple stories per day based on incoming news (average 4 to 5 stories per day).
- Turn around longer-form stories for special features, including interviewing sources via phone, email and Teams; tracking down information and more.
- Ongoing editorial work including proofreading, editing and more.

Must have:
- Must have journalism/reporting experience; preferably in English.
- Able to write quickly and error free.
- Problem solver mentality.
- Able to work independently at small company.
- Some sense of urgency.
- Not afraid of phone, email, video meetings; must be able to communicate
effectively in English. Good conversational English skills.
- Minimum 2 years of experience at one job.
- Preferred age range 28+; stable home life.

Negotiable full-time schedule. Start up hours of 7am to 3pm EST. Can transition to different schedule later on. Onboarding period lasts about two months. Some after hours may be require during busy periods.
