LetsData is looking for a Romanian-speaking Analyst in the field of strategic communication and malign information influence
We seek an open-minded, curious and skillful professional to provide monitoring, research, and analytical support to the LetsData team leveraging AI to anticipate communication risks and opportunities in the face of information operations.

Location: Remote; EU time zones

LetsData is at the forefront of addressing challenges related to strategic communication and malign information influence. As we continue to expand, we seek a Middle Analyst who is open-minded, curious, and highly skilled. This individual will be crucial in monitoring, researching, and analyzing the evolving landscape of media discourse and malign information operations across online media and social networks.

Role Description:

Data Collection and Analysis:
- Produce analytical products using cutting-edge technology, informing clients about critical developments in the information space. This includes analyzing data and extracting insights to drive informed decisions.
- Clean, organize, and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Use statistical methods and software to conduct complex data analyses.

Reporting and Presentation:
- Ensure the highest quality of analytical outputs by evaluating reports, alerts, and analyses.
- Maintain and improve quality control processes to uphold LetsData’s standards and meet client expectations.
- Translate complex data into understandable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Present data and analysis results to management and other relevant parties.
- Represent LetsData at meetings with senior stakeholders, public events, and media appearances.

Business Strategy Support:
- Working with end users (media, civil society and governments) to help them use LetsData analytical insights, do deep dives and participate in brainstorming sessions.

Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and refine methodologies for product R&D and daily analytical tasks. Implement advanced methodologies for LetsData technologies to counteract malign information influences effectively.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in data collection and analysis.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance analytical capabilities.

Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor junior analysts, managing day-to-day tasks within the project and promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Political Science, Communications, or related fields.

Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in roles focused on data analysis, media and social media monitoring with a proven track record in leading analytical projects.

Technical Skills:
- Understanding the logic of LLM and generative AI; expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Flourish.
- Knowledge Requirements: Deep understanding of disinformation tactics, strategic communication, and influence operations. Familiar with current research applicable to social media analytics.

Leadership and Communication Skills:
- Proven leadership of interdisciplinary teams, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and additional languages a plus.

Personal Attributes:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, adaptable to new technologies, excellent organizational skills.

Additional Requirements:
- Romanian language knowledge is a must.
- Willingness to travel for conferences and meetings.
- Ability to effectively represent LetsData in various settings.
- Deep understanding of the Romania/Moldova region information space.
- Overall, using AI to analyze modern information space is quite exciting; thus, an open mind, passion for discovery and a desire to learn are what we are looking for.
